life is good

hooray!  i finally got one, it only took me a year.  phil and i took a trip to charlotte and got tattoos, and while he was getting his i went and bought my iphone.  normally i'm one of the first to get the latest technology but i decided to wait for the glitches to die down this time.  

i'm glad things are starting to look up :) i'm really happy

obsessed

with sriracha!!!  have you tried it?  it's pretty much amazing, i've been putting it in everything lately.  today i decided to place a dab in my ramen noodles... why have i never discovered this before?  i'll never eat them w/o it again.  i will say if you have never tried it be careful when you do, this sauce is extremely spicy and a little will go a looooong looooong way.  what should you expect when you are trying a product made from hot chilies

i'm not saying, i'm just saying the thai's know where it's at :)  let me know your thoughts if and when you try some

nashvilles

nashville is where i was supposed to be this coming saturday.  sadly i am not going due to phil's show being cancelled, instead i will be in statesville, nc for a different show.  rocketown is an awesome venue for those of you that have never been, and now i have a new reason to plan trips to nashville!  a good friend is moving to nashville the first week of march and i can't wait to visit her!  i love road trips!!!  nashville you will be seeing more of me in the near, near future.

piglets

here are my babies.  they're going to be keeping me company over the next 3-4 weeks, it's just me and the pigs.  this is the most recent picture i have but it's one of my favorites.  too bad the great dane isn't that small anymore, i'd take a new picture but all of my cameras are conveniently dead at the moment.  piles pig princess (the black one) and yohji (aka pigman) will be accompanying me on my trip to columbia where they will be meeting and playing with 4 other pigs.  i must get the camera fixed before then... 

  currently both yohji and piles are smothering me on the couch. imagine me squished inbetween the two of them in this picture and that's what we look like right now, only piles is much much bigger.  it's so funny, what would i do without them... they're a bunch of characters.  

yeah i like coffee, so what!

  i'm a coffee snob, i'll just go ahead and call myself out on it.  it's pretty ridiculous how much i like the stuff.  i've only had about 2 cups of coffee in my entire life that have ever kept me from sleeping so usually my roomate and i make about 2-3 pots a day and most of the time a starbucks cup gets thrown into the mix.  i was talking to annie about how much we like coffee and i discovered i drink around a 1/2 gallon of this stuff a day- A DAY!   i should probably cut down on the amount of coffee my body consumes a day, this is not good.  i can't help it though, i love coffee anything!!!  it has to be good coffee too, no folgers nonsense...strong and amazing please.  

  my next coffee purchase will definitely be a coffee press (picture).  i've never had one but i've used them before and they're pretty amazing.  i  have to say i've never seen a press like this one before, i  must have it!  let me know if you spot it somewhere!!! 

to speak of tour

sooo my husband, roomate, and some other good friends of mine leave for tour tomorrow.  of course i'm sad, but i love it when they're on tour b/c then i get to go and visit. they'll be gone for 3-4 weeks touring mostly the northeastern part of the country. this is the first tour, i'm super stoked.  

  while they're gone i plan on doing a number of things.  on the agenda is going to lexington/columbia, south carolina to see some close friends.  i also am trekking to nashville, tennessee to see to speak of wolves play. (nashville is an awesome city if you've never been.  i'd never live there but i love visiting. it seems more and more of my friends move there all the time!) i don't think i have any other definite plans while the guys are gone but i'm sure i'll come up with something.  who knows, if i get bored i may go and get another tattoo.  i've been wanting to anyway, this seems like the perfect opportunity!

new years it is

yay for another new year, right?  in celebration of the new year i've done a couple of things:  i decided to start blogging (about time) and reward myself with some kind of kidrobot goodie.  i chose the bag to the right...  my thought process was somewhere along the line of, "i'm a makeup artist, i need something cute, petite, and says I LOVE DUNNIES w/o actually saying it."

  after the newest cosmetic home arrives, it will become what i call an 'emergency bag.'  every girl and perhaps boy needs one, that way if you get stuck somewhere, you are prepared.  inside my e.b. i always carry mascara, an eyebrow pencil, some sort of foundation, eyeliner, concealer, and a variety of lipgloss/lipstick.  there are also bobby pins, a comb, eyedrops, and makeup brushes.  you can't apply makeup very well if you don't have some sort of applicator.  i'm sure everyone's is different, this is just what i consider to be my bare necessity for an emergency.  just to be clear i don't mean emergency like there's a fire or someone's been injured emergency.  i'm talking about me going out, crashing on my friends couch, we wake up in the morning and agree to eat breakfast/lunch at a nice restaurant.  call me vain, but i'm not going to brunch looking like i'm hungover,  who knows who i'll run into... aaaand that's my emergency bag in a longer than expected explanation.
